The second round of Estonian Karting Championships was held at the latest edition of our track guidesPõltsamaa karting track. Another cold weekend made it very “unsummer-like” for the drivers and the new track surface came with it’s own challenges. Kartletix drivers, our track guide buyers, had a fair share of success in the Estonian Championships.

Technical Troubles for Ragnar Veerus

KartletiX coach Ragnar Veerus had his most difficult weekend this year with technical problems all the way from trainings until the first final of the race. Forced to diagnose problems and in search for solutions, his track-time was compromised and led to loss of lead early in final 2. Despite a lightning start from P2 and a charge to turn 1 to take the lead after the start, the lack of testing pushed Veerus further down the field to finish P4 in the final.

“Start was nice and the first few laps were actually very good. But once everyone got up to speed, I left the door opened which led to being pushed off from P2 and surrendering many positions. I can’t say it was the final we were after but at least we got the kart working after two long days of electrical troubles. The field is top notch in DD2 here in the Baltics, so we’ve just got to keep pushing ourselves and hopefully we’ll be back stronger in the next round.”

KartletiX Clients Scored Wins

At the same time, KartletiX is very happy for his clients who used our Põltsamaa track knowledge to their advantage. With our most popular track guide to date, KartletiX drivers scored a win in the Estonian Championships in Open 40+ and Ladies Cup. Podiums followed in Rotax Junior and DD2 Open. New information will be added now after the race, since we learned a lot throughout the weekend.

Estonian Championships will continue in July at Rapla karting track. Watch out for the track guide of this Estonian classic.
