JOINFirst Senior season. First Senior title. Eason Tseng became the 2026 Taiwan Karting Championship Senior Champion at his first attempt after graduating from Junior, beating his older rivals and securing a ticket to the Rotax Grand Finals in Portimão.
KartletiX had been consulting Eason’s support team, Roger and Simon from RS Motorsport, throughout the season. For the title decider, Ragnar also travelled to Lihpao to work with him directly on coaching and setup. Eason arrived with an eight-point championship lead. He did not necessarily need to win, but there was still a final weekend to get right.
The pace to fight at the front
Eason showed fantastic pace throughout the weekend, narrowly missing out on pole position in qualifying. He then won the first heat, putting himself in P1 for the start of the first points race: the prefinal.
A strong start kept him in the lead, but his main title rival moved ahead on the opening lap. From there, the pair played cat and mouse as the drivers behind began finding even more pace.
P2 at the flag secured a front-row start for the final. The entire season would come down to one last race.
A difficult start. A measured recovery.
The final did not begin as cleanly. Eason went three-wide into the first corner and emerged in P4. He fought back to P3 on the next lap, but the two leaders were already pulling away.
As they traded positions at the front, Eason steadily reeled them in, setting the fastest lap of the race. He had the speed to close the gap, while keeping enough distance to avoid getting caught in their fight.
With the championship on the line, that balance between pace and patience mattered.
One final lap to settle the season
On the last lap, the leaders collided. Eason moved into P2 and narrowly avoided contact with the driver still ahead. He crossed the line in second place, and that was enough.

It was a clever, strategic finish to the season. Eason combined the pace to catch his rivals with the judgment to leave himself room when their battle unravelled. He brought home the result he needed, and with it, the title. A great display of how a champion driver chooses his battles.
