Victory & 3 Podiums for KartletiX in Taiwan

KartletiX paid a visit to drivers in Taiwan for round 1 of Taiwan Karting Championships in 2025. The opening round of the national season was held at Lihpao Racing Park, where KartletiX drivers scored 3 podiums and a victory from Rotax Junior to DD2 Masters categories.

Eason Tseng Wins in Junior

Rotax Junior driver Eason Tseng dominated the weekend, despite discomfort in the ribs. The youngster won every session, grabbing maximum points towards his campaign for the Rotax Grand Finals ticket. Racing in a mixed field with Senior drivers, Tseng crossed the finish line in P3 in overall classification. We witnessed a second consecutive impressive appearance from Tseng this year, again finishing first on the road with KartletiX.

Roger Young Fought to P2 in Masters

The architect of arranging drivers and an overseas coach for the race – Roger Young – finished in P2. After being out of kart for 6 months and busy with managing the team, he gained 2 positions at the start of the final, catching up to the leader in no time. The highest ranking Taiwanese driver launched his final attack with 2 laps to go. The leading Japanese racer didn’t crack under pressure and led a pack of 4 Masters drivers over the finish line.

Armstrong Secured Senior Podium

Dramatic Senior final came to a surprising end after post-race penalties. HaoHao Chang had been racing for podium before a big collision with 2 laps to go. The crash ripped off his front bumper, but despite the damage he crossed the line in P3. After front-fairing penalties, he dropped out of the podium. But this put Luke Armstrong in contention, clinching the third step of the podium with a clean and calculated performance.

Biggest Development: Kenny NG

Malaysian Kenny NG crossed the line in first in DD2 B group for amateur racers. His 2-second development from practices to qualifying saw him fight for a win for the first time ever. Unfortunately, victory celebrations were cut short after receiving a front bumper penalty after getting crashed into early in the race. Kenny still stood on the podium, claiming second place and an eye-opening experience to take his driving skills to a whole new level.

Big thanks to Roger Young and drivers from different nations for coming to race in Taiwan. Can’t wait for another trip to Asia – may it be for Taiwan Kart Championships or Rotax Max Asia Trophy later this year.
