Euro Trophy Podium for KartletiX

Ragnar Veerus scored Winter Series overall podium in the 2025 Rotax Euro Trophy Wintercup edition. KartletiX coach collected great points in Cremona and Viterbo, despite missing out on race podiums twice. A prefinal victory and top 3 points scoring positions in equally important heat summaries, Ragnar stepped up to the overall podium. The tough Italian winter conditions proved the importance of consistency in scoring championships karting.

Round 1. Cremona

RMCET Winter Series kicked off mid-February in Cremona. Most of the weekend greeted drivers with wet and cold conditions that included some hail and snow. After a P2 in qualifying practice, Ragnar held his position in the heats. A brilliant round-the-outside overtake saw him grab an early lead and take victory in the prefinal. Final started hectically for Ragnar , but the podium was up for grabs until the final corners. Lots of slow traffic saw the all-red KartletiX coach bump into a slow kart on the out of the final corner and dropped his nosecone. Despite crossing the finish line in P4, coach Veerus surrendered his championship lead to a 5-second penalty.

Consistency is the key

Round 2. Viterbo

The newly rebuilt Viterbo circuit proved hard for most but very fitting for Ragnar’s driving style. Brilliant dry pace was constantly interrupted by showers that led to a P4 after the heats. Sunny final’s day saw the founder of KartletiX rise to P2 in the prefinal, just 0.3 seconds off the win. Stuck in the slow outside row start in the final, Ragnar quickly surrendered many positions. At the end of lap 1, the 2023 DD2 World Champion was spun around and dropped to P12. The following 15 laps saw him climb up the ladder to fight for a race podium. The very aggressive near-crash behaviour from his opponent settled him for P4 for the sake of the championship.

Ragnar exchanged his Rotax Wintercup third in 2022 for second position in the Winter Series in 2025. It’s another podium for KartletiX and our supported drivers in International Rotax events in 2025. But this is only the start of the season and warm up for Rotax Euro Trophy for the coach. KartletiX can next be seen in Taiwan for the opening round of their national championship next week, where Junior, Senior and Masters drivers are in a hunt for Rotax Grand Finals tickets.
