The last round of Estonian Karting Championships was held in Laitse on September 8. KartletiX powered drivers grabbed 2 championship titles in DD2 and a race victory at the last round in Rotax Max Junior.

Clean Sweep in DD2

KartletiX coach Ragnar Veerus secured his 7th Estonian Championship title by finishing in P4 at the last round. The winning margin over his closest rival and the creator of speednote.eu Maxim Schurko (LT), who won the championship decider in Laitse, was 31 points. Ragnar took two race victories and 2 further podiums across the 6 race campaign to retake his title since 2022. The 2023 Estonian Champion Patriks Locmelis (LV) finished the final race and the series in P3.

KartletiX powered driver Hugo Parts become DD2 Open champion on his debut season in a new category. He took 1 victory and 2 second place finishes across 3 rounds to secure the title by 23 points. Parts also showed incredible speed in the final round, battling the top drivers of the Rotax Max DD2 field and even setting the fastest lap time in Final 2.

National Medalist on Debut Karting Season?

The most successful rookie of 2024 won the last race of the season in Rotax Max Junior. Fernando Paimre only stepped on the competitive karting scene this year and worked together with KartletiX for faster development for over half a season. The Aero Racing driver dominated the final weekend in Laitse, starting with pole position and a track record in qualifying. Two final victories put him on pole for the Superfinal which he won by 2.7 seconds and a fastest lap of the race. The rising karting star dominated the weekend to secure a podium finish in the overall standings of Estonian Karting Championships. Fernando Paimre will definitely be a name to remember for seasons to come.

Martin Sild made use of his new team and KartletiX coaching lessons in Laitse earlier this season to finish on the podium in DD2 Masters category. Sild took two second places in the finals and crossed the finish line on P3 in the Superfinal on his way to a maiden podium finish. At the same time, Märten Mäemurd in Mini 60, another 2024 rookie, showed great pace and set the 5th fastest lap time in qualifying. Tough racing in the ultra-competitive Mini 60 category brought him up to P5 in the Superfinal after lap 1, but battling dropped him to P8 on the finish line.

With the national season over 2024, KartletiX’s focus turns to the Rotax Grand Finals at the end of October in Sarno, Italy. Meanwhile, a list of updates for KartletiX platform will be dropping soon.
