
The newest edition of KartletiX coached drivers in East Asia scored 2 victories and 3 further podiums in Taiwan Karting Championships. At the same time, KartletiX coach Ragnar Veerus secured a victory in the second round of Rotax Nordic Challenge.
Hong and Cheng Win in Taiwan
After a week of training at Lihpao Racing circuit in the preparation for the 3rd round of Taiwan Karting Championships (TKC), KartletiX drivers thrived during race day. DD2 driver Simon Hong led the final from start to finish to take his second win of the season and points lead into the last round of TKC. Senior Master driver Dennis Cheng showed his back to the rivals from qualification and dominated in spectacular fashion. DD2 Masters driver George Chen grabbed an early lead but secured a P2 finish, placing as the top Taiwanese driver in the Masters field. Gary Chiu in the DD2 B category for amateur drivers stood on the 3rd step of the podium after an action packed race weekend.
Veerus Wins in Nordic
At the other end of the world, KartletiX coach Ragnar Veerus competed in the 2nd round of Rotax Nordic Challenge in his home country Estonia. An incredible weekend resulted in 3 final victories that extended his lead in Nordic and Estonian Championships before the short summer brake. Veerus won the superfinal in DD2 category by over 3 seconds.
The last round of TKC will be held on September 29th also at Lihpao. The championship standings are wide open for KartletiX drivers, including the tickets for the Rotax Grand Finals in Sarno, Italy later this year. The last round of Rotax Nordic Challenge will take place on August 17th in Latvia, where the first set of Rotax Grand Finals tickets will be awarded in the Baltic region.
