Rotax Nordic Challenge title defender Ragnar Veerus finishes on podium at the first round in Šiauliai, Lithuania.

The Estonian had a tough weekend in the interesting conditions of Bačiūnų kartodrom. Learning himself and collecting data for KartletiX platform, Ragnar showed great pace in qualifying, setting a P2 laptime in DD2 category, just 0.02 off pole.

Despite struggling to find the right setup and tyre pressures for the race, 3-time Nordic Champion secured a P2 finish in the Superfinal with a fastest laptime.

“I won here last year at my first go on this track. The conditions were a lot better and more clear for choosing the setup then. With the laptimes being half a second slower this time around on a no-less-grippy track, we found out a lot more about the characteristics and specific quirks of this circuit. Very useful data to be putting out to all KartletiX folloswers soon. But at the end of the day, I’m happy with the weekend. The final required a lot of patience and I think I used that very well to my advantage.”

The next Rotax Nordic Challenge race will be held in July in Latvia. But KartletiX will be back on track at the beginning of June in the Estonian Championships.
